Christmas and Miracles!

Hey, hey!! :)

I hope you all had a very, merry Christmas!! We did down here in
Kanab. In fact we had a white Christmas.

We have had an interesting week. We did a lot of door knocking
because everyone went out of town for the holidays, so it felt like a
long week, but it was good. We had a miracle...Tuesday, I think it
was, and after about four hours straight of knocking and doors and
getting rejected, we knocked on this ladies house. She was obviously
an active member, but we talked for a few minutes and then out of the
blue she was like. 'I have an unbaptized great-grandson who just moved
into Kanab and wants to get baptized.' That, was exciting. :) The Lord
definitely blesses us when we are doing all that we can.

We had another miracle this week.as well. As I said we had been
doing a lot of tracking. So we were walking round this one
neighborhood for about an hour when we tracked into a member. Turns
out, she knew exactly where one lady was that we had been looking for,
so she drove is up there and we visited for just a minute before the
Member drove us back to our car. That was a miracle in of itself, but
it gets better. We got to the car and I couldn't find the car
keys...my stress level shot so high. Anyway, started back tracking all
the places we had been and we still couldn't find them so we went back
to the members home to see if they had fallen out there. NoPe. So she
offered to drive us back up to the house that we had visited and there
they were, right there in their drive way.  We were meant to lose
those keys, because in all honesty I had been turned around on which
direction we would have needed to go to go back to her house. The Lord
knew that, so he provided a way for us to get the right directions
because he loved that woman enough to cause me stress. :)

The Lord is in all of our lives, I think he is a lot closer than we
realize. We have had a lot more tender mercies this week, and it just
has been a testimony builder that God is in each of our lives and
wants to bless us. :)

So yeah. That has been my week. I hope you all have a wonderful rest
of your week and awesome holidays!

I love you all!!!

Kaibab!

Hey, hey!

This past week was interesting... Transfers were really confusing, but
we all got where we needed to go and we all had a companion the whole
time, so that was good. :)

My last few days in Richfield were hard, because I really didn't want
to leave, but I got to see most everyone that I really wanted to say
goodbye to, so that was good. :)

Now I am down in Kaibab with Sister Lola. She is for the Philippines
and is awesome. My parents would be proud of me, I ate a  traditional
Philippine Food, a Balut. That was interesting, don't know if I will
eat that again any time soon. But in my own sweet (or maybe sour)
revenge I had her eat a Warhead. I was going to use Baking Coco,
but... :) No, we are having fun together and working hard.

We have a huuuuuge area. We cover CaneBeds (right next to Colorado
City...) And Jacob Lake, Fredonia and the south part of Kanab. Not to
mention that our District Meetings are in Hurricane, so we have to use
our miles very wisely.

We have some great people that we are working with, though. An
older couple, a crazy in a good way older couple, a few children (one
of whom is getting baptized this Thursday!!), and a couple of middle
aged people. :)

We also had the chance to go serve down at the Nursing Home and sing
Christmas Songs with one of our less actives, so that was fun and
good. We got paper crowns out of it so, hey! I am not complaining.

I am really excited to continue to work here in Kanab and I look
forward to getting to know the people better.

Anyway, I love you all!!! :)

Transfers

Hey, hey!

Transfers are always an interesting time...not sure I like them. :) Anyway, Sister Dunbar is staying in the Richfield East Stake and training. Sister Kirby is staying in the Richfield stake and getting a new companion, Sister Hunting. I am getting booted down to Kanab.  We were almost positive that I was leaving, just for a lots of reasons, but that didn't mean that saying good-bye is any easier to some of these people who I am going to miss greatly. I don't have my new address yet, but I will send it next week.

This week has been good though. We had a miracle baptism this past week. There is a family here in the Richfield stake that the sisters have been working with for a long time, over a year. But last week we got a phone call saying that they had picked a date and they were ready! That was exciting!

We also got to go wrap caramels with Ann. She makes some killers caramels, but has a hard time wrapping them so we went and did that with her. It was a lot of fun, I think that she thinks that we are all slightly insane, but that is alright. Most people do. :)

Anyway, today we have been really busy. Both me and Sister Dunbar are packing (and that is two transfers in a row. Somehow in the last 6 weeks I have gotten a lot more stuff then what I cam with. I am not even sure how I did it...) Plus I have been trying to say goodbye to as many people as possible before I leave. I managed to see quite a a lot of people yesterday and I hope to be able to see the rest tonight.

I look forward to meeting the people in Kanab, I have heard interesting stories about Kanab so I am pumped to get to go experience some of it.  :)

I love you all!!

A Temple Trip

Hey, hey!

Today we had the awesome experience of being able to go to the Manti Temple. It was so refreshing! And it was just was beautiful as last time. The Manti temple certainly is a special place.  I am really excited for when I go home to get to go to the Temple anytime I want and not have to ask for permission. :)

We were quite glad that this past week November changed into December, because we were running low, low, on miles and were doing a lot do walking. We did see a lot of neat things because we're walking though. For instance, we prayed for a lot of angels to pick us up (if we were going to be late to something) and every time  someone pulled over and asked us if needed rides. God does hear and answer prayers.

This week we also had zone Conference, which was really good. President and Sister Smith have really good trainings on the white handbook and using our time more wisely. Zone Conference is always amazing though!

Transfers are coming up, and I don't know if any of us are really looking forward to that, but what comes will come. :) we don't think that we will remain in a trio though and we think Sister Kirby is staying in Richfield so we will see.

I love you all!!
