Hey Everyone!

This week was awesome. :) We have been busy teaching this week, which is always nice. This next week we don’t have as much planned, but I do not doubt that we will see miracles anyway.

About  eight months ago I knocked on Rula’s door. She let us in immediately, told us that she was willing to listing and learn, but that she wasn’t going to convert. From there we started a journey that had it highs and it’s lows, it’s heartache and happiness and some amazing spiritual experience. On Saturday, Rula was baptized. I will never forget the things she has taught about how important Jesus Christ is and many other things, and her journey is just beginning! I hope to be included in parts. :)

My own journey as a missionary is coming to a close in just a few weeks. I don’t know what to feel but I will always be grateful for this chance that I have had to serve the Lord full time. I have learned much, made some amazing friends, and hope to continue to do so. I have seen the hand of the Lord over and over again over the past 18 months and I know that I will continue to do so. I know that the Lord will continue to guide me as I open the next chapter of my life.

Thanks again for everything!

Hey Everyone!

This week was full of miracles! We have meet with Jose three times in the past week and he has accepted eagerly everything that we shared. We got a text from him just a few hours ago saying that he read the word of wisdom Pamphlet  and that he understands  that it means it can help us be healthy. Then he quoted the apostle Paul about our bodies being temples. It was just fun to see him progress that way.

We also had the chance to meet with Rula a couple times this week. She has one of the strongest testimonies of Jesus Christ that I have ever listened to. She is amazing! She has faced a lot of challenges this week but she continues to have faith in Him that he knows what is best for her.

We also lost our nice 50 degree weather this week and have had snow. A lot of it, but everyone’s been praying for it so I guess that makes sense. ;) The Lord does hear and answers prayers.

Thanks for all you do!

January 9, 2018

Hey everyone!

This week was pretty awesome!

James actually ended up moving back to St. George, so we are no longer teaching him.  We did talk to a lot of people this week though that are being prepared by the Lord. We are excited for the up coming weeks. There are good things coming to the Utah St. George Mission. With the new year, President Smith made the goal that as a mission we are going to baptize 1,000 converts this year. With the members help that is totally reachable! We are so excited to go out and do Missionary work!

I was sad to hear of President Monson's passing. He was an amazing man who inspired  me to be a better person. He truly was a prophet of God! His words will continue to reach many but I find great comfort in knowing who the next Prophet will be and that he will continue to lead us in the paths that Christ wants us to go!

A couple highlights from this week were, a) we got to go to the temple this morning! That was a neat  experience. And then b) Rula got up and bore her testimony at church!  That takes guts.

Thanks for everything!!

Hey Everyone!

This past two weeks have crazy good but also not much has happened. Holidays are both good  and not so good for missionaries. People are gone but those that are here were more willing to listen.

This week we did have have a cool experience. Some of the Sisters (Sister Clark for those that know her) down in the St. George passed off an investigator to us. His names is James and he is super awesome. He is formally a Baptist and swore that we were a ‘fake religion’. However he went to church Thanksgiving weekend with his girlfriend and it forever changed his life. He refocused the power that was there and the spirit. He recognized the truth that were present and decided that he wanted to change. Thus he started meeting with the other sisters and then us. We are excited to continue to work with him.

Besides that not much is going on. Rula is still in NY, Mitch is working on giving up smoking. Corey won’t answer our calls and Paula won’t answer the door. But it’s all great because there are always more people who are being prepared. God works in miracles and we have a lot of great potential.

Thanks for everything!
