Hello from the MTC

Hey!

Here at the MTC, my P-day is Friday, so you can look for emails from me then for the next two weeks.

I have only had one full day at here at the MTC and that went well.  Let me just say, though, that there are a lot more stairs to the fifth floor then usual when you are making mutipal trips up and down them. Our classroom is there and we spend most of time, but meals and special classes are in different buildings so... lots of stair climbing.

I have a great companion, her name is Sister Kirby and we have a blast. In my district is another pair of Sister missionaries (Sister Thomas and Sister Ranker). We room together as well, but we all get along fantastically so that is all great. :)

It was kind of funny. As I was going into the MTC, I was right behind... Sister Waits, so that was kind of funny. Everybody helping us new people check in kept laughing as Sister Waits was followed by Sister Waite. Made it easy for them, though, they were in the right part of the alphabet.

Yesterday at dinner I ambushed Emily, or I guess I should say Sister Clark, but, oh, that made me so happy. I had been looking for her and meals and I kept having mini freak outs because I thought I saw her, and then it wasn't her... But then it was!! So we hugged and made our companions just stand there, but hey.

I am out of time, but...
I love you all!!

Flying out to Utah

Julia flew out on Tuesday morning July 19th to enter the MTC on Wednesday.  It was hard to say goodbye and it was emotional for all of us.  Julia and I were both sad that the baby hadn't come yet when she had to leave.  I am just trusting in the Lord's timing for our family.  It might have been even harder if she had to leave the baby. She called when she got to my parents and said she was feeling better about going and doing all right.   My parents sent me a picture from when they dropped her off at the MTC.

A beautiful day at the temple

June 18th was a beautiful day at the Billings Montana temple with Julia. Grandma and Grandpa Sharp were able to come up and go with us.  We had been told that it would be a very busy day at the temple.  There were four young people going through the session for their own endowments.  The session was pretty full, but not completely.  We weren't sure how full it would be so Grandpa and Grandma planned to get there plenty early and get a seat.  I was so grateful they were willing to come and go with Julia.  It was a choice experience to be there with Julia. She looked beautiful in her white dress.

After the session we took pictures outside the temple and then went to Olive Garden for dinner. Lizzy and Wade came and met us for dinner.  It was a great day together.

I am so grateful for temple blessings.  The temple is such a peaceful place. It truly is a refuge from the world for me.  I hope Julia will desire to go back and feel the spirit there.  We are always so grateful to be at the temple with our children.  I love to see the temple and be inside it!

The big,white envelope

The big white envelope that we had been waiting for arrived on April 25, 2016.  Julia was called to serve in the Utah, St. George mission.  She will report to the MTC on July 20th.  We are so excited for her to serve her mission and see the growth she will experience.
